Before heading out to one of our locations, check to see if they provide the you need. If you plan to visit a service center during a holiday, please be sure to check our to see if we are open. Contact the office to make an appointment for a written test or road test. These positions are located in Driver License Centers across the state, and will work 40 hours per week. When visiting a Photo Driver's License Center, take your signed temporary license, and one other form of identification containing your signature.
Some residents may be able to renew their driver's license online or by mail. The office also provides information on whether a driver needs to take a road test or written test, how to apply for a learner's permit, and valid proof of address. You will conduct driving performance examinations; administer vision and color perception tests; administer oral, written or computer assisted examinations measuring road sign and signal interpretation, safe driving practices and knowledge of Pennsylvania motor vehicle laws, rules and regulations; check motor vehicles for valid inspection stickers and safe operating condition; examine registrations, permits and other related documents for validity and authenticity; and notify applicants of results and suggest improvements to those who fail. Please note that locations, days and times subject to change. Please list all counties where you would be willing to accept a position. The number of points depends on the severity of the violations.
The office provides online information about Blair County driver's testing requirements, applying for a license, hours of operation, and registration renewal dates. Traffic violations result in points imposed on the Pennsylvania driver's license. You can schedule your road test or by calling 1-800-423-5542. . No driving tests will be given.
